What’s at the heart of Flow?
We are an experiential farm and animal sanctuary, with a few very simple heart-felt missions: to provide a fun and safe environment for humans and animals to learn about each other, to nurture respect for our natural environment and to inspire love for all living beings, so we can all live together in harmony.
We do this by providing fully immersive, interactive experiences so you can truly connect with nature and with animals. Through our Flow Programs we hope you will gain invaluable insights, form genuine loving bonds and leave with a renewed understanding and appreciation for our natural world.

Our Story
Our Story
Flow was originally part of the Windmill Eco Farm created by Arthur Kwok in 2011, a 270-acre project nestled in the lush hills of the Wenbishan Country Park, Zhongshan in China’s Guangdong Province.
The Windmill Eco Farm included an organic farm, freshwater lake, hiking trails, a country park and a petting zoo. In 2013 Arthur’s daughter, Justine, took over the petting zoo and gradually transformed it into an animal sanctuary. She wanted to provide a loving home for all the animals and vowed to take care of them for the rest of their lives. She brought onboard a team of international veterinary consultants who performed thorough health checks and sterilization of the animals. Animal caretakers were trained in humane animal husbandry practices. More animals in dire circumstances were rescued and brought to the sanctuary until it reached it full capacity.
In 2018 the sanctuary became officially known as Flow Farm & Sanctuary and each of its animal resident is Flow’s ‘compassion ambassador’. As one of the pioneers in experiential farm sanctuaries, Flow also strives to be a leading facilitator of animal- and nature-based learning experiences for children and youths in China.

Justine, founder
Justine, founder
Born and raised in a household of furry siblings, Justine developed a deep bond with animals at an early age. She graduated from Cornell University in the U.S. with a double degree in psychology and French, and moved to Paris to study fashion design. After discovering the true cost of the fashion industry and animals being the ultimate ‘fashion victims’, Justine decided to bid farewell to her career.
Returning to HK in 2009, Justine launched BK Atelier, an ethical, cruelty-free pet product brand. She gained hands on experience as a volunteer with Animals Asia whilst studying humane education, animal behaviour & welfare, sustainability and conservation. Her academic investigations then took her to the U.S. to study animal-assisted therapy, South Africa for interspecies communication, UK for ecotherapy, Bali for the Green School Educator’s Course and Japan for first-hand experience of natural farming techniques.
In 2013, armed with a wealth of animal and eco-knowledge, Justine returned to her ancestral hometown of Zhongshan and gradually transformed the Windmill petting zoo into Flow Farm & Sanctuary, offering unique experiential education programs for children and adults.
Justine is committed to a compassionate and sustainable lifestyle by advocating a plant-based diet.
